Venison

Iron

Pure South venison is higher in iron than beef and lamb. Lamb contains iron in the haem form, which is more easily absorbed by the body than the iron found in grains.

Zinc

The zinc in venison is beneficial to support a healthy immune system. It’s also well-absorbed by the body.

Protein

Pure South venison is an important source of biological value protein, meaning the proportion of protein we absorb from 100g of lamb is roughly 28-35g protein.

B vitamins

B vitamins are important for metabolic reactions within the body. Our venison is a great source of B vitamins - especially B12.

Selenium

Our venison provides some levels of selenium, which helps build a healthy immune system, and is thought to be anti-carcinogenic.

Low-fat

Venison is the ideal meat for a healthy diet. The total saturated fat component of our venison is 1/3 that of beef and lamb, and is even lower in fat than skinless chicken.
